Miniature haul ..

While hanging out in Port of Spain last Friday, making up time to join up with a really good friend of mine, I decided to venture into Capital City mall and saw a relatively new store to me?!! :-/ with a few makeup items displayed and thought that as I was not too busy it would be worth a browse...

Inside what caught my eyes were the Nabi blushes on display, unfortunately it was just three: Peach,  Nutmeg and Mocha, I decided on the Mocha which seemed a better match for my skin tone.
My first introduction to Nabi products was from Halener Rustique one of our local online shop, and that was from there Glitzy Glam Bag for the month of August.

I enjoy shopping online for the variety you get, but it's pure fun for me to actually go into a store and make a direct purchase_you know that feeling of  instant gratification of getting what you want on the spot!
Anyway here's a quick look of the polish on my nails.

I love this shade called Baby Blue and it showed up nicely on my nails after two coats which lasted fairly well throughout the day and the next but I was anxious to try the Cinnamon which had a pinky/bronze tone to it which is not showing up in the photo, sadly its longevity was not equal to the Baby Blue :(

These products were bought locally at Chelsea-Sue
Nabi products can be bought online at

Happy midweek! :)

A Look at Sacha Face Primer and Mattifier

Hi, Its been awhile since I've done any serious posting but, a week ago I stopped off at Pennywise to get a few items one of which was the Sacha Face Primer Mattifier and I've been trying it out for approximately a week now with and without basic foundation and just thought that I would share my thought on this old/new repackaged and reformulated  product from Sacha.

So previously it was called the Sacha Mattifier (was also sold to me as a possible primer) and came in a smaller tube like jar with a doe foot applicator. Link
Now its available in a convenient squeeze type container with a screw cap which has been reformulated and contains more product and is officially named as a primer hence Sacha Face Primer Mattifier

Its Purpose

A lightweight mattifier and face primer. Absorbs excess oils, smoothes skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines and pores.
Apply over your entire face or T-zone
Can be worn alone or under foundation.
Dries invisible

Ingredients (previous): water, stearic acid, propylene glycol, zea mays, cyclomethicone, C12-15 alkyl benzoate, perfume, propyl paraben.

Ingredients (present)water, stearic acid, propylene glycol, aluminium starch octenylsuccinate, corn starch, triethanolamine, cyclomethicone, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Perfume, DMDM Hydantoin.

To me
  • It still has the light floral scent
  • has a creamy but slightly waxy texture
  • comes out white but melts/absorbs unto skin without residue
  • is lightweight so you don't get that "coated" feel like you have something on your face
  • still works well at controlling shine as its name implies
  • you don't need much
Overall, I enjoyed using the product and had no breakouts...did not notice much difference with my pore size, but its readily available, and affordable
paid TT$44.95

Is available to online users on the SACHA web page for $30.00

Just a reflective post ...and Happy 2013

2012 was such a strange year for me, as well as for a couple of close friends, with many twist and turns, and lots of unexpected lessons learnt .. with friends and sometimes foes, entering and leaving your life a little richer and with newer understanding.
I've finally come to learn that I need to take time to find my quiet place inside where I seek the stillness within and listen to know, that inner voice that sometimes warn you that you've jumped off track.
But I feel blessed to see another year and constantly try to remind myself, that each day that I open my eyes from sleep, that life is not promised to me; thereby I need to thank the
Heavenly Creator...
Take time to live in the moment and enjoy the time I spend with friends and family, and also the people I've met while walking along this road of hopefully 2013 will be a year for greater enlightenment both for myself and others who continue to share this heartfelt journey in 2013...

I know I'm a bit late...

Just wishing everyone a blessed and inspired new year!
